In our weekly emails with RMH Management Group they recommended we check out this Swedish DJ duo Marcus Price & Carli who happen to be the most popular up and coming DJ’s in scandinavia. They have a very Major Lazer-esque sound, and humor like LMFAO.

SSION – My Love Grows in the Dark

Posted in Art, Music with tags , , , on March 2, 2012 by SOCIALIGHT Entertainment

Hands down this is the modern day Boy George! It’s a very catchy tune, but the video is much more dynamic. The cross dressing theme and gender ambiguity makes for an entertaining video. The colors, the oddities and sideshow characters are an amazing touch. We usually have more to say about the music than the video, but this time the video definitely out shines the song. Regardless it all comes together very well. Good Job!

“The song was written about a sex club – everything is completely dark, you have to feel your way around. No one really sees me in the video, and if they do they’re indifferent. I walk through this house where everyone is completely self-obsessed. This video will be part of a larger narrative of videos for the album Bent.”

It’s been about a year and a half since we first heard of The Magician with his remix of Lykke Li’s “I follow Rivers” , and more recently his track “I don’t know what to do” (Fabian remix). Two great tracks that have gotten lots of traffic on our blog. Needless to say we are big fans of his. Here’s one of his recent mixes he posted. It’s a very soulful NuDisco/indie pop/dance mix, with some recognizable names.  Nu Disco is on the rise!

Magic Tape Twenty tracklist:

1. Perseus – Seychelles
2. Lancelot – Spoken Word
3. Softwar – This Time Around
4. LeSale – Make Me Feel So Good
5. Chris Malinchak – There I Was
6. The Supermen Lovers – Say No More (A.N.D.Y. remix)
7. Lauer – Trainman (Tensnake Franceman remix)
8. Classixx – Holding On
9. James Curd – Guide Me (Gigamesh remix)
10. Gucci Vump – Feeling

Beyoncé – End Of Time (Monsieur Adi Remix)

Posted in Music with tags , , , , on February 24, 2012 by SOCIALIGHT Entertainment

Monsieur Adi has such a diverse style of producing, this one is a perfect example of how he can step out of his French Electro style and put together an amazing club anthem.  Give him a year or two and Monsieur Adi will be a household name.  You heard it here first!
